Points system for senior ranking this year: Bouldering ranking will be top local plus provincials. Lead ranking will be provincials only.

Points system for youth ranking: Both lead and bouldering will be the scores of one less than the number of locals plus provincials. For example, currently, there are 3 bouldering locals scheduled, so 2 will be used for ranking.

ACA seeking Athlete Reps

The ACA board relies on the input of it's athlete representatives to help make decisions that affect all our athletes. Our current athlete representatives, Alyssa Weber and Mark Derksen, are looking to retire from the ACA board. Therefore, we are looking for two new athlete representatives, one to represent climbers in female categories, and one to represent climbers in male categories.

If you're passionate about competition climbing and would like to help drive the ACA to better competition climbing across the ACA, please complete and submit this expression of interest form. We want to hear from you! Preference would be for 18 and older, but exceptions for younger athletes may be considered. Must have competition climbing experience.

If you have questions or comments, feel free to reach out to communications@albertaclimbing.org

Tentative 2023 / 2024 event dates are being published

Hi Everyone! We’re excited to kick off the 2023 / 2024 season. The ACA is working out the details of the upcoming events, and have published some of the dates and locations. The events are not finalized yet, so consider them tentative for now. We don’t have definitive locations for all events (marked as TBD). We’re also working to add more events.

We will include CEC and non-ACA events in the season schedule later.

New for this year: we’re going to include a few blackout dates that won’t have any events scheduled.

Stay tuned to this website and our social media accounts for updates.
