ACA POLICY

Membership, Ranking & Team Alberta Policy

ACA Adopts CEC Transgender Inclusion Policy.

Within the hyperlinked policy the “association” is referenced as Climbing Escalade Canada (CEC). For purposes of interpretation, replace CEC with ACA when referring to the policy. Additionally, for questions or concerns you can email ACA@albertaclimbing.org rather than those listed in section 8.2

PROCESS FOR LOCAL AND PROVINCIAL COMPETITION SERIES

  • Qualifying for Youth Boulder and Ropes Provincials

    • To qualify for Youth Provincials an athlete must be in the top 75% of their category at the end of the Local competitions. With a minimum of 20 athletes/category invited and a maximum of 30/category invited.

    • This is discipline specific

    • Boulder Provincials for Youth B/A/Jr athletes, the athletes top two events (out of the 3 locals this season) will be used to determine the athletes rank.

    • Boulder Provincials for Youth C/D athletes, both boulder local scores will be used to determine the athletes rank.

    • Ropes Provincials for all categories, both ropes locals scores will be used to determine the athletes rank.

    • Invitations will be emailed to athletes that qualify for these events once all local events have occurred.

JUDGING IN COMPETITION CLIMBING – E-LEARNING MODULE

This module will introduce you to what it means to be a judge and the essential knowledge and skills you’ll need to carry out your role in competitive climbing. It will also offer you a place to practise and/or review your skills before you judge at a competition.
