Athlete Hoodie Design Contest

Hey ACA Athletes,

We are trying something new this year by introducing a hoodie design contest. The contest is open to all ACA athletes that are interested in submitting a design entry, and the designs will be voted on by the ACA athletes. We want to make sure that you are proud to represent your community when wearing an Alberta climbing hoodie, so what better way to do that than by letting the athletes choose? If you are interested in designing or are just wanting to vote, we encourage you to stay tuned and get involved! If your design wins, it will not only be worn by many ACA climbers, but you will have the honour of being the first one to wear the hoodie, as you will be given a free one!

Designs can be submitted from now until December 15, when all entries will be reviewed by the ACA Board. The voting period will take place for all climbers from January 4 to February 23. Votes will be tallied, and the winner will be announced at Boulder Provincials on March 15. After that, the hoodie will be available for purchase to all members of Team Alberta competing at Regionals and Nationals. The same design will then be used for the general Alberta Climbing hoodie the following season, ensuring that everyone has the chance to buy one.

There will be some guidelines to follow when creating your designs, so make sure to incorporate the following:

  • Must create two similar designs:

  1. Containing the phrase “Alberta Climbing 2026”

  2. Containing the phrase “Alberta Climbing” as well as “Team 2026”

  • Must have appropriate content

  • Designs that have not been created with artificial intelligence will be given priority over those that have

  • It is not necessary to include the ACA logo in your design, as it will be displayed on the front of the hoodie with the winning design on the back

Designs and questions regarding the contest can be sent to aca-hoodie-contest@albertaclimbing.org
