Hey climbers!
We are so excited to be kicking off the second year of our ACA Hoodie Design Contest, and we can’t wait to see what amazing designs we get this year. Last season was a major success with massive buy-in from so many athletes across all age categories, and we cannot thank you enough because this simply wouldn’t be possible without you all!
The design contest exists for the purpose of allowing our athletes to express themselves and demonstrate a special set of talents outside of just climbing. In addition to getting to discover what spectacular artists we have hiding in the ACA, all athletes are able to vote for their favourite design and get the opportunity to purchase the hoodies and represent our wonderful community. While the contest has remained nearly the same, we made some alterations to the guidelines and design requirements.
What’s the same?
The artist of the winning design will still receive a free hoodie from the ACA
You will still be required to make two copies of your design, one containing the words “Alberta Climbing 2027”, and the other containing “Alberta Climbing” as well as “Team 2027”.
Your design still has to be both age appropriate and professional looking
It is not necessary to include the ACA logo within your design, as it will be on the front of the hoodie, with your design on the back
Alberta or climbing themes are encouraged, but not mandatory
What’s new?
Only registered ACA athletes are allowed to submit designs and vote
You will be limited to just one entry, unlike last year where there was no cap
All designs must be sent in via a submission form, which can be found on the Hoodie Contest website (linked at the bottom of the email)
Once your design has been received by the ACA, we will review it and ensure it meets the given guidelines (linked at the bottom of the email), and if it fails to meet the requirements then we will contact you to inform you what was missed.
You will be allowed to hand in revised designs only once contacted by the ACA
You must submit your design as either a PNG, JPEG, or Vector image file
Please ensure that your design is of high quality and high resolution, because if it is too fuzzy or unclear it will be turned down
If you enter a design that has been created with use of artificial intelligence, it will be disqualified
