Athlete Classes
C&D - points for ACA ranking
Jr, A, B - Tier 2, no points for ACA ranking
Format
Qualifiers: 25 problem Full Scramble Qualifiers with 4 point start (Jr,A,B,C,D)
5 on / 5 off finals with isolation; no group preview; top 8 advance from qualifiers (Youth C/D ONLY)
Community Crush

Qualifier scoring - points per boulder / attempts
There will be 25 problems in the qualifier round. The score for a “Top” is based on the problem number and the number of attempts.
The top 6 scores for each athlete will be used to calculate the total qualifier round rankings.
Spectating / Gym Map
Spectating for this competition will be limited to specific sections of the gym, in order to ensure the field of play is clear for athletes / coaches / officials. Refer to the overhead view of the gym for a visual reference.
The field of play will include the immediate and surrounding areas:
Slab Wall
Bouldering
Top Rope
Spectators can use the following areas, so long as pathways and doors are clear:
Retail / Front entrance
Lead Wall
Party Room #2 (this is a mezzanine overlooking the gym, also where volunteer officials are setup).
Since space is limited, spectators will be asked to make way for officials, athletes, and coaches if necessary. Athletes, Parents / Guardians, spectators from Group 1 (C+A+Jr) will be asked to make space for Group 2 after the first qualifier round.

If you have previously purchased a 2024-2025 ACA membership, then that has been migrated and you were emailed instructions on how to login.
If you haven’t purchased a 2024-2025 ACA membership, then you will be able to purchase at the same time as your event registration.

Registration closes on November 30th. Don’t wait till the last minute to register.
Eligible Tier 2 athletes
Tier 2 athletes from the B & A categories can register for this event as well.
Tier 2 competitions are for Youth B/A/Junior athletes, who would like to gain more competition experience and are looking for further development on boulders and routes that have a more attainable difficulty level.
Athletes ranked in the top 30% of their category at the end of Alberta's 2023-2024 competition season in Youth events ARE NOT ELIGIBLE to compete in Tier 2 competitions.

If you are a new athlete to Alberta and do not have a rank from our Province, you can compete in Tier 2 Competitions.
Tier 2 competitions DO NOT provide ranking points.
